Courses & Schedules

The University Writing Program offers a range of courses for undergraduate and graduate students. Our lower division courses prepare and reinforce students' skills for academic writing that they will do as undergraduates. Our pre-professional and writing in the disciplines courses, which satisfy the upper-division composition requirement, help students practice the kinds of writing they will do after leaving the university. We also teach courses in journalism and specialized genres in professional writing, and offer graduate writing courses and courses in pedagogy and composition theory which support the Designated Emphasis in Writing, Rhetoric, and Composition Studies.

The document linked below provides details about how UWP courses will be taught during winter quarter 2021. If your course section isn't listed or if you have further questions, you can email the instructor directly (faculty listings are here and graduate student instructor listings for UWP 1 and 1A are here).
