What can Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) do for you?
Are you a UC Davis instructor or teaching assistant looking for ways to enhance writing instruction in your courses or support your students' development as writers and critical thinkers?
Are you a graduate student searching for support for your academic writing?
The Writing Across the Curriculum Program can help. Our team of six University Writing Program faculty consultants and six graduate writing fellows recognizes that writing is a fundamental part of all students’ learning processes, regardless of discipline. We aim to support students’ writing development throughout their academic careers--from their first undergraduate years through the dissertation stage of doctoral programs--and we work closely with instructors across campus who share this goal.
The WAC team offers the following services:
- One-on-one consultations with instructors of undergraduate and graduate courses
- Workshops for groups of instructors and teaching assistants
- One-on-one peer consultations for graduate students
- Workshops and writing retreats for graduate students
