UWP 298 - Style and Clarity for Graduate Writers

This course will provide graduate students with strategic writing skills necessary to succeed in their academic program and long-term career objectives. In this seminar series, participants will refine their understanding of conventions in academic discourse and expand their ability to write effectively. Seminars will include an analysis of disciplinary style, a review of the writing process for advanced academic contexts, and practice in applying concepts in grammar and usage. Participants will gain confidence in assessing and improving their own writing through workshops and assignments focused on improving their own in-progress written work.
