As the Internship Coordinator, I coordinate professional writing internships (UWP 192) and serve as the instructor of record for students enrolled in UWP 192. I also respond to student questions regarding internship opportunities, the process of enrolling in internship units, and expectations for completing internships. As the Faculty Advisor for students completing the minor, I advise students completing the minor on courses to take and strategies for developing job and graduate school application materials. I also advise students who have questions regarding course requirements, course substitutions, unusual circumstances, and career and graduate school opportunities in professional writing.
Peer Advisors for the Minor in Professional Writing
Winter 2025 Office Hours: TBA, Voorhies Hall 176
Peer Advisors help students completing the minor understand internship requirements, locate internships, and request internship credit. They advise students on requirements for the minor and help students create a plan for meeting minor requirements. Undergraduate Academic Advisor

The Undergraduate Academic Advisor advises students on requirements for the minor and timely completion of the minor. They also review students’ petitions for the minor. The advisor documents in a student’s account in OASIS any special agreements made regarding the minor.
