Biography:

Kelly Crosby is a continuing lecturer in the University Writing Program where she primarily teaches second language writing, first year writing, and writing for education. Before joining the UWP, Kelly taught in many contexts, including high school English and Spanish in Virginia and California, abroad in Brazil, adult school in Woodland, CA, and in an intensive English Program at UC Davis. In several of these contexts she served as department chair or lead instructor. She has designed curriculum for large high school, intensive English, and university programs. In the UWP, she has served as a Writing Across the Curriculum Faculty Consultant, the Assistant Director of Entry Level Writing, and the Associate Director of the English for Multilingual Students division of the program - overseeing second language writing instruction campus-wide. She also co-authored and co-designed the overhaul of the first-year writing placement for UC Davis from 2020-2021.
