Scientists Discuss Professional Writing

Join the University Writing Program’s Writing Across the Curriculum faculty in a discussion with four of UCD’s professional scientists. Speakers will share insights about the genres and writing styles most common in their respective fields and positions. Come hear about the writing skills needed for careers in the sciences.

This program is open to everyone, especially faculty interested in writing and communication for science undergraduates.

Event Speakers:

      

Siva Gunda is the Director of Research at the UCD Energy Efficiency Center and a PhD candidate in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering with a focus on alternate energy systems.

Danielle G. Lemay, PhD is a Professional Research Scientist at the UCD Genome Center studying milk. Her PhD is in Nutritional Biology.

Cindy McReynolds is the Program Manager at UCD’s Superfund Research Lab. Her MS is in Pharmacology.

Troy Stich, PhD is a Research Specialist in the UCD Chemistry department. His interests include protein folding and molecular modeling.
