Investigative journalist and continuing lecturer Sasha Abramsky profiled UC Davis Health System professor Garen Wintermute in the Spring 2012 issue of UC Davis magazine. Wintermute is a professor of Emergency Medicine and the Director of UC Davis's Violence Prevention Research Program. In Abramsky's article, Wintermute discusses his methods of inquiry and his findings--for example, that as new guns enter the market, gun violence goes up--and the response of NRA advocates to him and his work.
