Members of the Academic Federation Members of the Academic Senate On behalf of the Academic Federation and the award selection committee, I am delighted to announce that Gary Sue Goodman, Lecturer, University Writing Program, is the recipient of the 2009 James H. Meyer Distinguished Achievement Award.
The Meyer award is one of the most prestigious awards granted on the UC Davis campus. Dr. Goodman's career-long contributions to the mission of the University and a commitment to the campus community stand as an example to others and deserve the highest recognition.
The Academic Federation, along with Chancellor Katehi, will honor Gary Sue Goodman at an award dinner on Tuesday, November 3, from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Walter A. Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center AGR Room. Please save this date and make your reservation now to join us by forwarding your $35 check, made payable to "UC Regents," no later than Thursday, October 21, to Academic Senate Office, Attn: Nancy Kilpatrick, 402 Mrak Hall.
